We Know Ideas Change The World
On 13 June 2026, we hosted our very first Art, Film & Flight Exhibition at The Shell Store in Hereford, bringing together artists, adventurers, filmmakers, skydivers, paragliders and curious minds from across the country. What started as a crazy idea just three months earlier became an evening that welcomed around 100 incredible people and proved that creativity and adventure have an amazing way of bringing communities together.
The Ideas People Say Can't Be Done
When we first told people we were going to organise an art and film event centred around flight sports, more than a few people questioned whether it would work. It was too niche, they said. Would enough people come? Would people really spend an evening looking at artwork inspired by skydiving, paragliding and aviation?
Those are exactly the kinds of ideas we love.
The ideas that people say can't be done.
Then in true The Stunt Artists fashion, we do it anyway and somehow pull together an entire exhibition in just three months. It was a huge amount of work, but standing in that room made every late night worthwhile.
Why Did We Do This?
The answer is simple: because that's where our stories are.
In flight sport, adventure and slightly wild stories.
Katie's artwork has always been driven by the communities she's part of. Skydiving, paragliding, aviation and adventure aren't simply subjects to paint. They're the experiences, friendships and moments that inspire every piece of work. Without that passion, the artwork simply wouldn't exist.
Yes, it's niche. But seeing so many people fill the room showed us that perhaps it's not quite as niche as everyone thought.
More importantly, it reinforced something we've always believed: authentic passion is contagious. When people create work they genuinely care about, others connect with it.
Art & Film Inspired by Flight
The exhibition showcased Katie's latest collection of original artwork inspired by flight. The biggest surprise of the evening came when Katie's large resin ocean piece sold before it had even been shared on social media (her fastest original sale to date!).
If you've been thinking about purchasing an original piece, get in touch.
Many of the originals have now been professionally scanned in Cardiff, meaning limited edition prints will be launching very soon. There was also huge interest in future art workshops at The Pavilion: See Art Workshops.
The evening also featured an exclusive screening from Filmmaker Henry George, who shared never-before-seen footage from his paragliding expedition to the Himalayas. His film left the room completely captivated and perfectly demonstrated the kind of storytelling that stays with you long after the credits roll.
We're now officially open for photography and film projects that make people stop scrolling and start paying attention. See Creative Storytelling.
The Best Part Wasn't The Art
As proud as we are of the artwork and films, our favourite part of the evening was watching people make new connections.
Guests who had never met before arranged to go paragliding together the very next day. Others discovered shared passions for ultra running, adventure and creativity, sparking conversations that lasted long after the exhibition ended. New friendships were formed, collaborations began and ideas started taking shape.
That was always the real purpose of the evening.
Art gives people a reason to gather, but it's the conversations that happen afterwards that create lasting impact.
We believe ideas change the world, but only when they're shared with the right people.
The right people were in this room on Saturday 13th June 2026.
What is The Shell Store Hereford?
We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better venue.
The Shell Store has created something really special in Hereford. More than just a café or coworking space, it's become a hub for creative people, entrepreneurs and local businesses to connect, collaborate and build community.
Whether you're looking for somewhere to work for the day, hire an office, host a meeting or run your own event, it's well worth paying a visit. Better still, it's dog friendly, so everyone is welcome.
If you've never been before, pop in during weekday opening hours for a coffee and experience the atmosphere for yourself. If you're looking for coworking space, office hire or an event venue, we'd highly recommend getting in touch with The Shell Store team.
What's Next?
After seeing what happened on 13 June, there's no way this can be a one-off.
The response reminded us exactly why these events matter. They create opportunities for people to meet, share ideas, discover new adventures and leave inspired. That's something we want to keep building.
We'll definitely be hosting more Art, Film & Flight events, alongside new workshops and creative experiences.
If you'd like to be the first to hear about future exhibitions, workshops and events, we'd love you to join our newsletter.
Thank You
An event like this is never the work of one person, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
Thank you to DJ Gareth (@FlatPaac) for creating such an incredible atmosphere throughout the evening. Thank you to the brilliant team at The Shell Store for believing in the idea and providing the perfect home for our first event. Thank you to our family and friends who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and thank you to every single person who came through the doors and made the evening what it became.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has supported The Stunt Artists over the years. Every conversation, every exhibition, every share and every word of encouragement has helped us reach this point.
This really is just the beginning.
Stay wild.
