Ideas Don’t Just Dry Up
Artist’s block isn’t real.
Or at least not in the way we’ve been taught to believe.
Fine art doesn’t come from sitting still and demanding ideas on command. It comes from moments that move you. From things you see, feel, experience and notice. From living a life that gives your nervous system something to respond to.
So when the ideas stop, I don’t think that’s failure.
I think that’s your brain politely telling you to get the fuck out of this room.
We’re not out of creativity.
We’re under inspired. Under stimulated. Over pressured.
I stopped creating for two years once. Not because I had nothing to say, but because I was trying to force productivity instead of following instinct. I was treating creativity like a job instead of a response to being alive.
Then I went out and found the thing that made me feel alive again. Suddenly creating wasn’t optional.
I had to.
My brain felt electric again. Ideas were everywhere. Not because I tried harder, but because I lived more.
Now I watch myself carefully. The moment I start forcing creativity, I leave the room. I go outside. I move. I follow curiosity instead of pressure.
That’s where the gold lives.
Not in the push, but in the pull.
So maybe you’re not blocked.
Maybe your life just needs refilling.
Go live.
Your art will be waiting. 🎈
