'Where We Breathe' is an original oil painting by Katie Hollinshead inspired by countless flights above the Brecon Beacons National Park, capturing the quiet freedom found between mountain and sky.

The painting features my own BGD Echo 2 paraglider, suspended above the rich green landscape that has become one of my favourite places to fly. Rather than focusing on the landscape, this piece captures the wings vibrant colours and the feeling of complete freedom that only paragliding can offer.

Painted entirely in oil, every panel of the canopy has been carefully rendered to preserve the subtle curves, light and movement of the wing. The deep green background allows the glider to float effortlessly, creating a striking contemporary statement for any home, office, flying club or adventure-inspired space.

Measuring approximately 38 x 50 inches (including the frame), the artwork is presented in a handmade reclaimed wooden frame crafted by Steven Hodges. The reclaimed timber beautifully complements the natural tones of the painting and reflects the connection between flight and the landscapes we explore.
